Case study
Global brand transformation and
content delivery system
Overview
A legacy brand with over a decade of minimal evolution lacked governance, consistency, and scalability.
I led the creative stream to stabilise the brand, establish global systems, and deliver a unified content ecosystem ahead of a full rebrand.
Leading the creative stream for a multi-channel rebrand across global teams
A legacy brand with over a decade of minimal evolution lacked governance, consistency, and scalability.
I led the creative stream to stabilise the brand, establish global systems, and deliver a unified content ecosystem ahead of a full rebrand.
The challange
From fragmented outputs to no central control
When I joined, brand execution was fully decentralised. Regional teams operated independently with no governance, inconsistent quality, and no visibility across marketing outputs.
- 15+ year-old brand with minimal evolution
- No approval or review process
- Inconsistent templates across teams and regions
- No visibility into externally facing materials
- Heavy reliance on ad hoc design support
The stragegy
Stabilising before transforming
With a full rebrand planned, I introduced a strategic interim “brand fix” to modernise the existing identity while building the foundation for scalable delivery.
This ensured the business could operate competitively during transition, while aligning teams ahead of the rebrand rollout.
The solution
1. System building
Building a scalable content ecosystem
I conducted a global audit across teams, tools, and workflows, and rebuilt the brand into a structured, multi-channel system designed for consistency, scalability, and ease of use.
Templates and platforms:
- Microsoft Office template system for Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Email marketing templates for Mailchimp
- Digital CMS templates for Foleon publishing
- Video creation templates for Premiere Pro, After effect and Storykit
- Social media templates for InDesign and PowerPoint
Key improvement
- implified template structures across business functions
- Introduced data visualisation standards in Excel
- Created modular, reusable content systems
- Designed for both designers and non-design users
2. Delivery and leadership
Leading delivery across teams, tools, and constraints
As creative stream owner, I managed delivery across internal designers, freelancers, and external agencies, ensuring all outputs met brand, quality, and timeline expectations.
-
Led hybrid team across in-house, freelance, and agency resources
-
Acted as final design authority and quality gatekeeper
-
Scoped external work and managed supplier collaboration
-
Balanced quality and cost within tight budgets
-
Tracked progress and reported weekly to CMO
- Resolved delivery risks and resource gap
Governance and impact
From design output to operational system
Beyond delivery, I established governance frameworks that embedded design into the organisation, enabling consistent, scalable content production across all regions globally.
- Introduced global approval and review processes
- Defined roles and responsibilities across teams
- Enabled self-serve content creation for regional marketing
- Reduced dependency on central design resources
- Improved consistency across all external communications
- Created foundation for full rebrand rollout
